DadLAN Australia was established in 2023, bringing together Dads with a common interest in technology, computing, games, and family.
Local Community Engagement
The DadLAN Events initiative operates via regional chapters, offering in-person gatherings. These social events aim to combat isolation, foster connections, and establish a friendly Third Space for fathers.
Attendees gather regularly to engage in socializing, gaming, and reminiscing about the ‘LAN Party’ era, among other activities.
Social Network
DadLAN Online program is delivered through digital spaces and provides an uplifting and positive social network. We focus on holistic well-being, community, and family.
The social network provides people an extended community of friends, access to resident experts, and connections to professional networks.
Directors
David Pirogov
David lives in Melbourne with his wife and twin boys. After the birth of his twins, David found that the support networks and social connections for fathers were hard to find, create, and maintain. With significant interest from other men and dads, it became apparent that this was a nationwide challenge for many men. Determined to make a difference, David Pirogov and William Parry co-founded DadLAN as a way to make a positive impact in men’s lives.
Hayden Fisher
Hayden is the primary caregiver for his two young kids while running his own part time business from home, with more than a decade of experience helping individuals and businesses as an accountant. Hayden discovered DadLAN on Facebook and immediately enjoyed connecting in person and online with other men and dads who share his interests. He is dedicated to fostering meaningful connections and building local communities.
James Capplis
James based on the NSW Central Coast and is a dad of one human child and 3 fur babies. With 17 years of experience in the IT industry, James brings a wealth of technical knowledge, leadership and corporate experience to DadLAN. James is passionate about the DadLAN mission and quickly became a volunteer after attending his first event in early 2024. Now, he actively promotes health initiatives and his own experiences to help other dads find and build their own communities.
